Because these items are not affected by trends or fads, we want you to wear them for a long time.
Narumi Trading Co., Ltd. is addressing the issue of clothing waste as part of its responsibility as an apparel company, so that the products you choose can be worn longer and cherished.
This time, we are collaborating with Kyoto Montsuki's black dyeing re-wear project "K" and hope to contribute to reducing clothing waste.
For a more sustainable society, why not re-wear your clothes by having them black-dyed?

About Kyoto Montsuki
"If you cut me, black blood might come out."
This statement by the former generation, Tadao Arakawa, might vividly illustrate Kyoto Montsuki's "commitment to black."
Since its establishment, our history has been dedicated solely to black formal kimono dyeing, constantly striving for the deepest black and improving dyes and techniques.
Kyoto Montsuki has been dyeing only "Kuromontsuki," traditional Japanese formal wear, for over 100 years.
While preserving the traditional craft of Kyoto black formal kimono dyeing, used for kabuki actors and maiko costumes,
we offer black dyeing services as part of our environmental conservation efforts.
From the perspective that "the earth's resources are used to make clothes, and recycling even one piece of clothing will surely lead to protecting the earth," the "K" project was born to establish a culture of re-wearing clothes by re-dyeing unwanted garments in "black."

About Shinkuro Processing
The characteristics of Kyoto Montsuki's black dyeing are the depth of black, quality, and safety.
One of its unique techniques is "Shinkuro Processing" (deep black processing), which makes items appear blacker by absorbing light.
After being black-dyed once, the items are reprocessed and dried individually in the sun, which further enhances their blackness, creating a "black unparalleled in the world." This black will not fade even after washing.
Additionally, a water-repellent effect is added, making them resistant to water stains.
*The effect may weaken with usage or repeated washing.

Processing Examples: BEFORE AFTER
